The Shilin Residence Chrysanthemum Festival, with a long-standing history of more than 20 years, is the largest flower festival in Taipei during the autumn season. In addition to commonly seen chrysanthemums, this year’s festival features a number of unique and decorative varieties that are displayed with mixed media and installation art. Up to a thousand giant blooms and varied-shaped decorative Chrysanthemums are the achievement of professional horticulturists at the Shilin Resident Park, as it took them nearly two years to cultivate these species and complete the designs.
